While working on project packets for my monthly card class this weekend, I took a moment to work up a sample for our August team swap. This swap’s theme is Trio Colors, and I’m finding this more of a challenge to my traditional design way of thinking. I’m discovering I’m more of a duo-color rather than a trio-color crafter. However, I enjoy a challenge, so here is a trio color card I made using the Daisy punches and Beautiful Bouquet stamp set.
What kind of paper crafter are you? Leave me a comment below!
One of my new favorite sentiment sets is the Beautiful Bunch. So many great messages…for both inside and out! I also love how the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder adds just the right touch of texture.
- Cut a 4-1/4″ x 11″ piece of So Saffron cardstock. Score and fold in half at 5-1/2″ to create card base.
- Emboss a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock with Subtle 3D embossing folder and adhere to front of card base.
- Die cut a strip of lace with Stitched Lace dies in Whisper White. Adhere to left side of Coastal Cabana layer.
- Punch out the following with large and medium Daisy punches: 2 So Saffron large daisies, 2 Vellum large daisies, 2 Vellum medium daisies, and 2 stamped medium daisies (use medium daisy from Daisy Lane stamp set in So Saffron ink).
- Layer and adhere 2 sets of daisies to card front.
- Adhere a 1/2″ Coastal Cabana circle to center of each daisy. Embellish with Wink of Stella glitter brush.
- Punch out 3 leaves with Leaf Punch in Granny Apple Green cardstock. Tuck under daisies and adhere.
- Stamp sentiment from Beautiful Bouquet stamp set on a stitched Whisper White oval (2nd smallest) from Stitched Shapes dies in Granny Apple Green. Adhere in upper right corner of card.
- Stamp large leaf from Daisy Lane stamp set in lower right corner of a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock in Granny Apple Green ink. Adhere layer inside card.
