Now that I’m back home, I’m sorting through all the many photos we took on this AMAZING incentive trip* to Mexico and wanted to share a few with you.
My husband and I often vacation together with our brother/sister-in-law (Richard and Robin–left) and were fortunate to share this wonderful experience with them as well. It has been on my husband David and Richard’s bucket list to see Chichen Itza, and with this trip we were able to make it a reality.
*Disclaimer: Earning the incentive trip is achieved by less than 1% of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators worldwide. I’m incredibly grateful for my customers, team, subscribers, friends, and family who support me and my business!
Day 1: Arrival and Stampin’ Up! Gifting Experience
We arrived at one of the most beautiful resorts I’ve seen…Xcaret Mexico. Even after spending 6 days there, we still didn’t see all the areas of this resort filled with multiple levels of pools, beach views, quiet coves, restaurants, lazy river, kayaking, and more.
After we checked in to our resort room (which was quite literally all inclusive–stocked fridge, snacks, water bottles, toiletries, etc), we stopped by the registration area for a fun Gifting Experience from Stampin’ Up!. It was set up like a Mexican marketplace to select handmade items from local artisans. Later that night Stampin’ Up! hosted a Welcome Party with traditional Mexican cuisine.
Day 2: General Meeting, Xcaret Park, and Xplor Fuego
The morning started with a Stampin’ Up! general session of business updates plus announcement of the 2026 incentive trip (spoiler alert–Alaska cruise!).
Afterwards we took a boat ride from the resort to Xcaret Park for a couple of hours (definitely not near enough time to see everything–SO much to do there!). The Park was filled with all kinds of beautiful flora and fauna, including iguanas and monkeys just roaming around. LOL
Later that night we went to Xplor Fuego which was a blast of ziplining (my husband and in-laws first time!), off-roading, and walking through caves.
Day 3: Xel Ha and Dinner Show
This day was full of lots of fun in the sun at Xel Ha waterpark where I acquired a nice and nasty sunburn (I reapplied sunscreen everywhere but my legs–ugh!). Later that night we had dinner and a wonderful show at Teatro Del Rio.
Day 4: Chichen Itza Tour
This was the day my husband and his brother had long been waiting for to see Chichen Itza. It was a hot day, but our tour guide was wonderful with stories of the place’s history and culture. Afterwards we cooled off in a nearby natural cenote which was incredibly refreshing!
Day 5: Xenses Park
After a fun week full of activities, we decided to take it a little easy and went to Xenses park. As the name suggests, this park messes with your sense of reality. Here we walked downhill on what looked like an uphill street, flew like an owl, and appeared disproportionately larger/smaller than we really were.
Stampin’ Up! friends make all the difference!
As we were leaving Xcaret Mexico, the resort offered us an amazing deal to return within 2 years. While it was very tempting, we knew it just wouldn’t be the same without our stamping friends. Looking forward to spending time with them again at Disney World Grand Floridian next year!
